Ford Transit’s 45th Birthday Party

The Ignition Team were asked by Ford Motor Company to support the celebration of 45 years of Ford Transit van at a delightful location in Hockley Heath near Birmingham in the West Midlands

Press & Media were invited to drive current Transit and a selection of past Transit on dedicated routes. Peter Lee, Chairman of the Ford Transit Club, brought along with him some very interesting memorabilia from 1965 including one of the first press reviews written by one of the journalists attending the celebration.

The highlight of the day was a guest appearance by none other than the now late, great Sir Henry Cooper. Sir Henry owned one of the first Transit vans when he had his own Green Grocery business in the 1960’s.

The Ignition team worked closely with the Ford’s Press and Public Affairs team to ensure that all logistics, attendee & vehicle movements as well as presentations were handled as smoothly and as effectively as possible.
